Henry Blackstone, 58, has been an Underground Railroad Guide since the end of CWII. He and his wife Belva shelter and guide refugees from ConFed, as well as those fleeing oppression from the Republic of Tex-Mex. Their remote ranch in the rolling hills of Oklahoma has hidden hundreds of people over the years.
One of the saddest, but most important duties Henry and Belva perform is the removal and proper burial of hundreds of young women who are executed and hung from billboards along the escape route by ConFed Border Agents. This gruesome warning to other refugees is witnessed by Tamara first-hand during her flight across Oklahoma with Henry in Vol. 1 “Tamara’s Escape” coming in Spring, 2018.
